In May 2023, the European Parliament and Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2023/988, known as the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which focuses on the general safety of consumer products. It introduces new requirements for manufacturers, importers, and distributors regarding documentation, labelling, risk analysis, and consumer communication.
